Calling all freelancers...

So here we are, 1 year down the track since officially launching Loop Solutions and starting to use Prima in the real world.

And, after a year, there are some changes in the wind...

When we kicked things off in February 2009, we knew that Prima would always be a work in progress. We believe that if you ever get a content management system to the point where you think you have something that's complete and perfect, you've missed the boat. The web world changes daily, and to stay current you have to adapt every step of the way - which is something we've tried to do as much as possible.

We've learnt a bunch of stuff in the past 12 months, and we've had a huge amount of feedback on Prima. What's exciting is that the feedback has been very positive. Everyone that has used Prima has loved the combination of its simplicity and power, and we've worked hard over the past year to continue to develop both of these aspects of the platform.

Recently, we were fortunate enough to work with a talented freelance designer (Paul at Five15 Design), on rebuilding the Otago MBA website (www.otagomba.co.nz). Paul is a brilliant web designer, but doesn't want to have to worry about content management, development, hosting, support - none of that stuff. He wants to design great looking sites (without being restricted in his designs!), and that's it.

That's where we (and Prima) came in. We provided the platform, the development support, and the hosting environment, and Paul was free (like, REALLY free) to design away to his hearts content. And, now that the site is live, he can forget about it (we provide the hosting and support), and move onto his next fun project.

So, if you're a designer and think that this kind of setup would suit you, feel free to drop us a line - we have a lightweight, powerful, uber-design-friendly CMS, and we want you to try it out.

We're currently working hard on Prima's administration interface, and have some big updates coming to the platform (and a complete rebuild of this site to reflect those changes) very soon - so if you're a freelance designer and want to find out if Prima could work for you, follow us on Twitter @Loop_Solutions.
